What could be more logical than cooperating to supplement the vehicles with technical solutions of both companies for the customers’ benefit?
All-wheel drive is not a matter of course for the vehicle class between 5.0 t and 5.5 t GVW.
Since Volkswagen’s Crafter only has the 4MOTION drive ex works in the of 3.5 t and 3.88 t models, OBERAIGNER now offers conversion to permanent all-wheel drive based on the rear-wheel drive in order to close this gap for the 5.0 t and 5.5 t vehicles.
SEIKEL comes in for the further expansion of these vehicles’ off-road capability:
SEIKEL developed a vehicle suspension lift to improve the Volkswagen Crafter’s off-road capability for vehicles up to 5.5 t. The special chassis components add about 30 mm in terms of ground clearance. The chassis also allows use of off-road-capable tyres with the typical dual tyres in size 205/80R16, raising the vehicle by a total of approx. 40 mm.The chassis kits are delivered to OBERAIGNER or can be installed either by SEIKEL directly or by Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge partners.
