Dear customers, dear off-road community,
it is with great regret to inform you that we are suspending the sale of our SEIKEL ProAir off-road air suspension, installation and delivery to installation partners with immediate effect and until further notice. This difficult decision is an expression of our uncompromising commitment to quality, safety and reliability. Below is the background:
Our responsibility does not end with installation – it starts right there. All customers whose vehicles are already equipped with a SEIKEL ProAir system can of course continue to rely on our personal, comprehensive service.
Why this step was necessary: The SEIKEL ProAir off-road air suspension was developed at great expense, successfully tested and made ready for series production around three years ago. It is a system consisting of several components which was designed for Volkswagen Transporter T5, T6 and T6.1.
In recent months, however, we have identified isolated malfunctions in purchased components, some of which were manufactured by an external system supplier according to our specifications. Our comprehensive analyses have shown that these are not serial defects, but individual cases that have led to various malfunctions.
Despite intensive attempts at rectification by our previous system partner, we are currently unable to guarantee the consistently reliable availability of the affected components – and therefore also the high level of quality that you can expect from SEIKEL.
Quality, transparency and responsibility – that’s SEIKEL. Even though only a few systems were affected and we were able to help all affected customers individually, quickly and in a solution-oriented manner, we take the situation very seriously. We would like to express our gratitude for the understanding and trust shown to us by affected customers and the installation partners who have already been personally informed.
We see it as our duty to deal with this issue openly and responsibly – in the interests of our customers and our role as a Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Premium Partner.
Of course, we will inform all SEIKEL ProAir customers transparently about the current status at any time on request. Our customer service is available to you personally as usual.
