Foreign objects can easily penetrate the low-lying radiator package (coolant radiator, intercooler, air conditioning evaporator, etc.) of the Ford Custom / Volkswagen Transporter T8 through the openings in the front apron and damage it.
The optionally available radiator grille is installed in addition to the engine protection plate (item no. 1416 0000 or item no. 1416 0007) and reliably protects the sensitive components from stone chips. It also prevents grass, leaves or branches from reaching the radiator assembly.
It also significantly reduces clogging of the cooling fins when driving through muddy water. At the same time, the grille makes cleaning and maintenance much easier.
