  • Integration of the factory recovery lugs

To ensure that the driving safety and function of all moving and electrical parts is maintained, we recommend that the vehicle underbody is cleaned of heavy dirt.
For this purpose, the existing protective plates of the vehicle underbody (e.g. engine, transmission, tank & rear axle) should also be removed. Regular cleaning is recommended here, e.g. at the end of the winter half-year, and after each use in difficult terrain with e.g. mud, sand/gravel and water crossings.

Note: This product is not suitable for Ford Ranger Raptor!
It also does not serve as a mounting surface for jacks.

Maintenance

The available protective elements for the vehicle underbody and body are made of high-quality and untreated aluminium.
Negative environmental influences, aggressive and unsuitable cleaning agents (e.g. acidic), road salt or/and insufficient care make the surface appear unsightly.

Surface finishing (powder coating/painting/anodising) of the protective elements is possible, but we do not recommend it.

These products are exposed to very different and unfavourable influences at the installation site, such as road dirt and stone chips. Depending on the intended use of the vehicle, various surface finishes have proven to be less durable and long-lasting in the past; the aluminium profiles then quickly look very unsightly.

A guarantee on the durability of the surface finish is therefore not possible under any circumstances! Basically, we advise the following for the various protective elements of the vehicle underbody:In order to maintain the driving safety and function of all parts, we recommend removing heavy dirt from the vehicle underbody and the add-on parts. For this purpose, the existing protective plates of the vehicle underbody (e.g. engine, gearbox, tank & rear axle) should also be dismantled; regular cleaning is recommended here, e.g. at the end of the winter half-year, and after every use in difficult terrain with e.g. mud, sand/gravel and water crossings.
The use of polish, such as NevrDull, is recommended for the care of untreated aluminium components.
